Neighbourhood Fund
Our Neighbourhood Fund is about supporting our local community. We’re funding projects that support the wellbeing of people, the environment and communities in the South West.
Community groups can apply for up to £1,000 in funding while registered non-profit organisations can apply for funding up to £2,000.
The Water-Saving Community Fund
From drought tolerant gardens and water butts in community allotments to educational displays in schools, we’re looking to support local projects with our new £75,000-a-year Water-Saving Community Fund.
We’re always looking at new and innovative ways to get our customers and communities involved in water conservation, which is why we are thrilled to set up the Water-Saving Community Fund to support projects – big and small.
Community groups can apply for up to £1,000 in funding while registered non-profit organisations can apply for funding up to £30,000, with applications being reviewed by a dedicated judging panel of water industry experts.
#TeamSouthWestWater give an hour
Our people live and work in the communities we serve, and we passionately believe we can work together to deliver more of what matters through our give an hour employee volunteer initiative.
If you're a local charity which could do with some help from our give an hour initiative, let us know here.
Sponsorship - supporting a number of key organisations in our region
We partner a number of key organisations here in the south west and we also support WaterAid in its work to bring cleaner water to developing countries.
Donations - supporting charitable causes in our region
We are committed to supporting charitable causes in our region and have selected, with our staff, charity partners with strong links in our region and to our business.
Our selected charities are Devon and Cornwall Food Action, Age UK Devon, Age UK Cornwall, Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust and the RNLI. These charities, together with our international charity partner, WaterAid, will be the focus for our charitable giving and partnership working to benefit communities.
We also continue to support the Cornwall 100 Club, administered by the Cornwall Community Foundation, and the Plymouth Drake Foundation. We contract with many charities to deliver projects for us, including Age Concern UK, Citizens' Advice Bureaux, the Wildlife trusts of Devon and Cornwall and the Westcountry Rivers Trust.
Our new policy may mean that we are unable to support some charities that we have helped in the past. We have a limited budget available and unfortunately we are unable to help everyone.
Please see below for a list of alternative grant-giving bodies in Devon and Cornwall who may be able to support your cause.
