Are there any hosepipe bans this year?
Yes, there are. Our region remains officially in drought.
In Cornwall and North Devon, a hosepipe ban has been in place since August 2022, and we're on track to lift it on 25 September 2023.
However, in North, West and Mid-Devon the hosepipe ban has been in place since 25th April 2023 and Roadford Reservoir is taking longer to recover. We regularly review the situation, and will not keep the ban in place longer than needed.
We really appreciate our customers efforts to reduce their water usage throughout this period. We ask that you continue saving water where you can, so that our water resources can keep recovering. You really are making a difference.
