We’ll install the meter within 3 months of receiving your meter application.

If there is a delay on the installation, we’ll use readings taken after the meter is installed to back-date charges to the date it should have been installed.

Sometimes it’s possible to fit the meter at the time of the survey, which will only take a few minutes. However, if a new meter unit needs to be installed outside, this will involve excavation and reinstatement work which will take around 3 hours. Your water supply would be off for about 20 minutes.

You won’t need to be there when we install the meter, unless we’ve already advised you otherwise.

For meters fitted inside your house, an appointment will be made for a plumber to attend and this would take around 2 hours.
